A dog-leg to the right with trees to the left and to the right makes the player feel that the fairway is narrower than it actually is. With a ditch running the down the right accuracy is important from the tee. The approach shot with either a short or mid iron will find a flat putting surface with a slope to the left which can cause problems for a pulled second shot.
